Have you ever been in a situation where your emotions have gotten the best of you? Have you blown up and said things you regretted later? These are amped emotions and these can destroy you and your credibility.

This subject is very important. Your character defines who you are as a person. It also defines your moral or ethical quality. For example how you treat people you come in contact with. Character is something you need to guard because it can be damaged if you are not careful.

If you are not careful your character can be destroyed. Not all at once,but in little tiny incidents that chip away at your character. Such as being dishonest,cheating,lying and being unethical in the things you do. So you need to put yourself in check and avoid these dangers.

In marketing even though you are not face to face character is very important as well. As a matter of fact your unethical behavior or business dealings can put the whammy on any business you may want to have in the future.

Be very careful how you treat people and how you do business with them. Word of mouth is very powerful and word gets around on the net like wildfire. So my suggestion to you would be check yourself to see what your character is like.

Is it ethical, do you treat people the way you want to be treated, and would you be proud of your character. The choice is yours.

Boundaries

Now this topic is a topic that I think everyone needs to pay attention to. We all have areas in our lives where we need to have boundaries. In the world we have boundaries that we can physically see such as fences, walls, etc.

Have you ever felt like you were taken advantage of? Is it hard for you to say no? Do you feel like people depend on you to much? Then you need to have boundaries. You need to set boundaries so that you can pick and choose what you will and will not do.

Boundaries are very important in your life to create balance and order. Boundaries help you to control the way people treat you and it also helps you to put thing into order in your life.

As far as marketing is concerned you need to set boundaries when it comes to programs you want to be involved in. For example you need to say no or yes when you are bombarded with all of the programs that are out there. I am sure you know what I mean.

You need to be able to control what you will and will not do when it comes to marketing ,and not let people pressure you into something you may not want to do. So create boundaries so that you can concentrate on the things that you want , and not the things you don’t want.

So here is what I suggest. Look at what you are doing and decide whether you need to set a boundary or not. Once you make that decision then put that boundary into action and move forward.

Commitment

Ok, so here is another one of those topics that applies to life and business. The subject today is commitment. In my opinion commitment is very important because it means you are in it for the long haul and you are not willing to give up.

It also means that you are willing to work through the problems that will come with that commitment. Some people think commitment means they can go with it for a period of time ,and when the get tired or fed up with it that they can quit.

Far from it. If you wanted to get married you are making a commitment to that person. You are saying I want to be with you for the rest of our days. If you make a commitment to God you are saying that you will love and honor him till your death.

In business if you commit to a program that you are involved in, or you commit to a brick and mortar business that you started you are saying I am going to stick with it in the good times and the bad. When you commit to something you need to see it through to completion.

All in all when it comes to working with people ,we all want a person that is going to be in for the long haul and not jumping all over the place. So think about it. Are you one of those people who will commit to one cause or business ,or are you a program hopper?

Are you a person who will commit in your everyday life to something or someone that is important to you? Think about this because it is very important. You choose which one of these people you want to be.I have already made my choice.

Resolving Conflict

You know that at some point you are going to not get along with some people. The reason being is that we are all different and have different personalities. For that reason we will experience conflict. Now how you handle that conflict is very important .

If you start off by yelling and screaming at the person it is not going to go well. You have choices on how to handle that conflict. You could take a time out and calm down for a period of time. You could say to the person, “can you help me understand why you are angry”.

Those are a couple of choices you have to help resolve a conflict. In the bible it says” be slow to anger” and for some people this is really tough for them. There is also one other choice you have to help you become better at resolving conflict.

You may consider counseling, or anger management to help. You can also use these ideas in the marketing world as well. Just remember that we all are different and that we all have different personalities. And if all else fails your most powerful weapon and that is PRAYER.
